The White Gates. Portals of incredible power that open to one or perhaps many other places. They open for a brief time then close for perhaps hundreds or even thousands of years.

The Slugs are aliens that have a unknown quality. I may have them in for humor or maybe something bigger. I need there to be races that are separate from the main anthro races to make sure they don't own everything outright.
