So in your opinion, I could go ahead, take a picture of your sona or whatever, copy the whole thing and skin it with a certain character I like. He is stealing poses and tracing art. It's like writing the Coca Cola label with the same art of calligraphy and instead of Coca your write Coco.
Stealing poses? Are you REALLY going to say that people can trademark what position a character is in? In that case only one artist can do 69 poses now. XD
And yes, you could do that and I wouldn't complain. You aren't using my character, you are using the same physique as my character for your character. People do it all the time, and considering my character was inspired by features of Godzilla it would be hypocritical of me to say otherwise.
People take ideas and inspiration from other sources all the time, it's not stealing if you significantly improve upon the content in order to make an effective difference that makes it all your own just the same. That's the essence of fair use, and it is what has inspired the innovation and progression of countless forms of entertainment, from books to movies to videogames.

The thing you described is called reference orientation. But in this case it isn't. Okay you think soddy's way of work is okay. But if it came to the situation where you would be a famous artist (or probably one of the best) and someone would go ahead and copy physics and tracing down your art and style, you would also be mad right? I won't say anything against having favourite artists and slightly orienting in their art style because you identify with it the most, but thats a totally different thing.
Anyway, judging you by your gallery I can see that you must be the total professional there.

He didn't copy his art style, just poses. There are significant difference in how he draws certain objects, such as the eyes.
Also, please don't try with an appeal to authority here. You don't have to be an artist to understand that there is a difference between taking a pose, and literally copying down same objects and claiming them as your own. You can critique food without being a chef, you can critique a movie without being a director, you can critique books without being a writer, and you can critique art without being an artist.

You have to be an artist to understand the work and effort an artist puts in his art, and then suddenly get copied by a person who obviously doesn't give a fuck about stealing your art style etc. Also, you can criticize things you see or being confronted with, judged by your own opinion. But that doesn't make you an expert in such kind of things. But I also noticed you aren't the moral-ish type either so whats the sense to keep arguing around with you. If you are an artist you respect your fellow artists.
No, you don't have to be an artist to understand, and you don't need to be an artist to see that there are significant differences here that differentiate it form other people's art. You're attempting to dismiss my argument by saying that because I'm not an artist my points are invalid. That is the definition of the appeal to authority fallacy, and it doesn't disprove that there are significant differences in their designs.
Whether or not I'm "moral" has nothing to do with this, now you're just using ad hominem. I could be the least moral, most hitler person in the world, and my point still stands because of the facts, it has nothing to do with what we're talking about, so don't bring it up.
Now if you're done ranting about problems that don't exist, take a look at the pieces that are being compared, you will see what I'm talking about. Look at the design for the eyes, look at the lines and structure of the jaw, the nose, and the hands. Hell, even the basic musculature. There are differences.
Now please stop trying to argue that you can steal a POSE and find something better to do with your time than complain about non-issues.
