This is a character in 
kanakage34012's story that she's working on. The original lineart and her colored version can be found in her gallery.
I had been talking with her about practicing my coloring skills on other people's lineart and sketches. So when she posted this, she left a hint in the Artist's Comments section (where this text is that your reading now) that I need to color it. At least, I took it as a hint, I don't know if it was general or actually directed at me.
I'm not too happy about the eye. The swirl would look better reversed so it looks like it's her iris framing the pupil. (Look at her colored version in her gallery if you're confused.) The hair was what I concentrated on most, and I ended up using four different colours for it. The eye, which I'm not too happy about, came in a close second, though. The skin was fun, but I only used two different colours for it. The lips were... three, I believe, not counting the main skin color as both the bottom and top layers.
All-in-all, I think it's a pretty decent job for not having done something like this in a while.

Thanks. The computer actually makes it look really good, even the eye. The hair was the most fun; I love doing hair.
Seriously, though, if you saw the original hardcopy, then you'd understand why I don't think I did very well.
(That speck that it looks like she's staring at is from the scanner's glass. I need to get that thing cleaned. XP)

Yay! Though if you tilt your monitor up so it's nearly parallel to the ground, you can see its true colors.
I'm not really surprised, honestly. If I saw this in someone else's gallery, I'd think it was awesome.

Thanks. Looking at this on the monitor, I realize that the choker and necklace look the same color, but the choker was blue and the necklace green. I decided she's wearing a white top (I didn't want to take the time to color that).
Actually, I just pulled the hardcopy out and was like, "Holy shit, *I* did this?"
