I really like rain, and I figured it would be a fun challenge to try to render it freehand digitally. Took many days! I don't want to go this detailed for a while, aaggh.
Only the standard circle brushes were used to make this. The one exception is the text for the sign. Then I made a layer over it for painting specular/shadow effects.
As usual, I'm definitely open to feedback! I'm still learning!

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I'm a big fan of artists who are able to render light and dark so well using a sort of sketchy feel. Thanks for the encouragement! I have a few wacky ones in the pipeline and I sort of want to incorporate a canvas texture in future ones. I feel that might work better with the sketchy construction maybe (?)
