Nekoko is a handmaiden in the court of the Orochi Clan. The tale of how the neko yokai came to join is known only to herself and Akeashar, who was the leader at the time. Because of Nekoko's relationship with her brother, Niah has taken Nekoko under her arm and is both raising her in the ways of the Clan as well as leaning on her for support.

Unlike many of the other members of the Clan, Nekoko doesn't embrace the traditional trappings except when ceremony dictates it, or at times when Akeashar is about, something that the rest of the Court notices with amusement, when the rather mercurial neko suddenly transforms into a (somewhat) ladylike figure. Akeashar for his part enjoys her company whether she's behaving, or her usual punk rock self.

Niah suspects its a matter of time before Nekoko goes chasing after her brother, so she tries to make the catgirl's time in the Clan as memorable as possible, in as many positive ways she can. At first, Nekoko was able to hide behind Souji or Kalandra regularly, but as of late she hasn't escaped Niah quite as often, which leads to wondering if shes come to enjoy the attention and may stay after all.

Curiously, while the Clan all know her as Nekoko, it appears that Akeashar calls her a different name in private that tends to send her into a complete blushing state.

Nekoko was a birthday gift from Taijii. The bakeneko girl had a special place in my heart, and in my story.
