I think it's amazing that a group of such amazingly talented people were all ever in the same place at the same time, not only contemporaries but good friends.

nah nothing wrong about that, it's just... dogs, cats and most other mammals have fur that is not much different from hair, but birds dont grow fur, just different sorts of fathers as far as i know.
Historical wise, yeah, they were crazy about their staches and beards back then...
