Thats obsidian right?

Yup, hand mined from a place called Obsidian Road between Glass Butte, and little Glass Butte.
It can be chipped into all sorts of artwork, from knives to jewelry and that sort.

I really wish I could get some off ya..I like the red black mix..

This particular expedition was funded by my father, and he got the spoils of this haul. He does knives and arrow-points and artistic stuff with it. Myself, I have a few chunks for practice, though I mainly use the black sheen, or midnight lace stuff (more plain looking) I saved all the good red black mix for dad. I'm nowhere near good enough to play with the nice looking rock. Hopefully I can get out that way again this summer. (not sure, till I get reliable transportation again)
