Football season is, shall we say, rough around the O'Meles household. I love my football and, having been converted to a Denver fan by Bella following years of annoyance and disappointment in the behavior of my Patriots, am an avid follower of the sport. However, you know me. Stress and adrenaline aren't exactly good for my system. The rush of watching a game almost invariably reverts me, but for once I really don't care. I've arranged with my office to work from home the first few days of the week from september to the end of january, and they don't care so long as I get the work done (which I do).
This season though... has been very rough for Denver fans. Yes, we have a stellar defense, perhaps one of the best the game has ever seen take the field, but our offense has been so infuriatingly inconsistent this year that almost every game has been a down to the wire stress fest as we rely on the heroics of our defense to win the match. Needless to say, regression has been a factor on any given sunday.
Even now that we've made it through the playoffs and into the Super Bowl, I'm a nervous wreck. My claws are pretty much gone, and poor Clancy (who was an avid Eagles fan when he was alive) has suffered so many popped stitches and re-attached limbs that he's practically made anew every week after I squeeze the stuffing out of him.
All I can say is, one more time into the breach, my friends! Time to silence all the critics and naysayers once and for all. Even though I'm certain to end up in pamfurs before the end of the first quarter, I'm really looking forward to this one.

Wonderful art piece by
chuziku who has put up with my stressing over the games for the entire season and always been an excellent friend.
Oh, and I just want to say... For some weird reason, Brock looks REALLY good in Denver Orange. Never expected that, he was designed to look best in cool colors like blues and greens. XD
