in 2012 - 2013 I had a shark character as my dominant fursona. I had a pretty interesting time and along with this I began wanting to make music inspired from otherworldly themes of which this was one of the first.
Sirius B in some African tribes is associated with a race of beings called the Dogon. They basically resembled fish people.
In some paintings they were more fish like while in some they were said to be upright and were said to have been from Sirius B which funnily enough has sacred connotations in various other places as well and even today in occult mystery schools it is seen as ''the sun behind the sun'' and typically, along with Sirius A is associated with divine consciousness.
So totemically speaking, the 'Sirius B' part is devoted to the idea of aquatic life that is more advanced and a connection to the stars while the visual and 'story' behind this song is a bit different.
I made this with the intent of letting my own 'shark energy' out so to speak. Before and during the creation of this song I visualized my own shark fursona playing an otherworldly flute while he was sitting on a shoreline alone, the weather was hazy, overcast and cloudy. His body was sleek, dark gun metal silver with crimson markings along his shoulderblades, fight scars on his triceps and back, he was wearing dark jeans, barefooted. I imagine his home was nearby. He wore an open black vest, and a strange diamond shaped pendant, hanging between his pectorals as he showed off his nice musculature. The crisp air rippled across his bare chest and his gold amber irises bore slit pupils which swiftly up and down the coastline for any sign of movement. There might have been onlookers, maybe not, he didn't care, he was just alone, and played oceanic lullabies daily to the sea. Was he calling out to something with his music? or someone?
Who can say what I was calling out to but regardless I hope you find my lullaby here worthwhile...
Let the shark flute quiet your mind as the waves of energy ripple through spacetime.
This is definitely not the usual more typical ambient I make; some of you may appreciate it however so let me know what you think!
NOTE as usual, all my music is best heard through decent earbuds or a good surround system, this track has a lot in it that might be overlooked if you listen to it any other way. So keep that in mind. :)
