Chucky is going from lack of confidence to truly doubting his abilities. It's usually a chain events that leads down this path, but it takes a chain of self accomplishments to pull oneself up and out of it. All of us have gone through this in life with one thing or another.

Got to agree with the penguin. The older generation (like us I am assuming) was taught that real men do not cry, and we pull ourselves up by our bootstraps! Never let them see you are weak! It is an old and out of tune way of thinking, but us old farts were trained, and had that (literally) "beaten" into us growing up. Not that it is right, but that is "us", you see....
But ya gotta fall into that pit of despair to learn to pull yourself up, to learn that only you can pull yourself up. You're along for Chucky's ride into the pit.
As for the no crying thing. That's a bunch of BS. I've seen every one of my family members cry, including my hardened grandfather. It's natural emotion, happens to the best of us.

Kev may be in speech therapy, but since he announced his career goal switch I keep picturing the Pontius Pilate scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian:

In the context I was using it, I meant a case of Mental jitters that rattles his talent on a fundamental level. Getting the Yips is basically a career Death-sentence for High-level Athletes.
