Started this in 2014 and finished it in 2016...
Pffff probably the longest I've ever left a file before working on it again. Mainly because at the time I felt I didn't have the ability or skill set to be able to paint in this detail so I left it.
I found it in the depths of my computer and though 'oh this has nice colours' so I fixed up the anatomy as best as I could and then killed myself trying a new fur technique. It's based roughly on a Pharaoh hound but really fluffy.
I'm still learning but I feel as though I've improved heaps since I first tried painting fur. Also his eyes/expression are meant to look a little odd, I was stuffing around with styles when I made this.
