For those of you who've kept an eye on my journals, you might know this particular shot has actually been done for about 5 months. But just recently, I figured out how to output it as flash from Toonboom with the correct colors, so I can show it to you here, rather than a video uploaded to Youtube or Vimeo.
CITRAPOP borrows from the following sources:
"Lollipop" by Mika (Universal Music Group / Casablanca Records)
"Citra" character designs/concept by
Zaush
Animation by me.

From offcamera/offstage! :D
The last part of Chorus 1 uses a similar trick - I call it the "muppet trick", because the Muppet Show used it a LOT. Basically, once a character leaves the frame/set, they can reappear ANYWHERE, because you don't know where they went.
Red does a "swim" dance move and drops off the bottom of the stage, with the other four looking down after him then looking around (he's off stage, so he's "disappeared") then he walks back onstage for his solo.
And actually, he drops offstage again at the end of his solo, then pops up at the end of the lymons' duet! :D

Sounds like the same trick Bugs Bunny pulls alot. Honestly though, this is looking great! The motions look smooth, everyone moves properly and it just looks like its going to be alot of fun when its finished and I've played around with animation enough to know how much of a butt-load of work this is. So great job keeping on it
There are a total of 992 separate drawings in this shot (including the initial keyframes which are not displayed here) so....probably two weeks of fulltime work? Considering that each sketch probably wouldn't take me much more than 5 minutes to do.
Not that I got it done that fast. I work haphazardly, a few minutes here, an hour there, etc. :B
