Just the physical appearance of Emm immediately distinguishes her as a member of the Firen clan. A whole clan of elmentals, Emm is the child of a regular daemon and a fire elemental. Fire elementals are generally pretty unstable and volatile, and Emm happened to inherit those traits in spades. She is quite proud of her elemental affinity, and even in her normal daemon form there's always at least some part of her that's burning. Be it the tip of her tail, strands of her hair, or in some cases even her eyes if you piss her off. It may surprise you then to learn that she is employed as a palace guard in B'nahum. While she may be volatile and prone to the occasional explosive outburst, Emm is deeply loyal to her clan's patriarch Firn. Since he is officially mated to Mama B'nat it would make sense that members of his clan would be entrusted with guard duty, and honestly she does a damn good job making sure only those whom have permission to be in the palace enter. When not on duty, Emm enjoys being by herself or in places where only those like her can survive. It is not uncommon to see her lounging or even lazily floating through one of the lava pits in the Firen section of the city.
