Angry gryphon blocks the way!
Only people who know me quite good will recognise this character...
Some of you might know that feeling- creating a character, having it as a main persona for years and then going away from them just because. No wonder he looks so mad here.

what a breathtaking creature, this looks fantastic. Poor angry birdie ;_; I have a character I made quite a while ago for a story I had written. It was not something I had made to represent me, but she used to be one of my favorite creations and I used her in so much. Then I just, stopped. For whatever reason -_-;; I should draw her again
Oh wow, yes I know exactly the feeling. I had a character I made when I was like...15, maybe. Stayed my only character for several years until life changed and I felt I needed a new representation.
I thought about him not that long ago, took the age he was when I made him and added the years that had gone by. I figure he's now an older fellow, off on his own, doing his own thing, and had a commission made of the old guy.
It created a strange sort of "closure" to that transition in my life. Hopefully this piece did the same for you, if you needed it!

You've been getting this a lot I see X> But it's a testiment to your remarkable skills as an artist. This seriously looks like a photograph! Such amazing detail in every respect both in that wonderful subject and the scenery. I can tell you have a great passion for your visual art. I have a great respect and appreciation for people like you who clearly put all their being into their craft. ^v^
Hey ^v^ What can I tell ya? Fellow passionate artists should stick together. As a musician, I think I know how it may feel to see your finished work and think "Wow.. I actually made that! It's amazing." Feels even better when you get positive feedback. ^v^
Thanks! I actually wanted him to look more like Asian gryphon. He's basically "inverted" Steller's sea eagle + inverted goldfinch (face), parrot/ostrich paws and doglike hind with heraldic like feathers placed on his tail. His always up crest was inspired one of kimbo demonica paintings way in the past (I think 2002-ish). Anyway, I was kinda creative kid when it comes to my very personal characters. His female is kinda unusual too. I should draw them more, but yeah commission work first.
