Those scales look incredibly awesome! Well worth all of the time and effort that you put into them, IMHO. I like that you kept the background simple, so as to not detract any attention away from the main focus. :)
Although, I personally feel that more detail could have been added to the sandy shoreline, since it is closer to the viewer. Details like foam / bubbles, or even 'cracks' / indentions in the sand where the lovely dragon might have been moving his tail back and forth.

Holy crap! I don't know if I'd have the patience to draw and paint with that much detail. That's amazing!

i love the tails spikes, and the color is so vivid, another beautiful piece. i cant stop watching you, it wouldnt be right without you....lol

I would think that the tail scales would be the most time consuming...getting the contour of the curve and all. The scales on the "wing fingers" look like the most difficult for color. Either way, all those minutes and all that work shows! }:=)
