Endless Realms bestiary - Mud Shifter
Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
The art director wanted a mud creature that could transform readily between a fluid state and a humanoid form, and asked for something tall, lanky, and with cavernous, dripping eyes, rising up out of its fluid form. I think the first mud creature I remember ever coming across was Mad Muddy from the NES game Startropics, so here's to you!

This would be a lot of fun to play around with . Like a small side adventure to a villages farm where animals are vanishing out of the blue. The party would have to come along and find out why the animals are vanishing without a trace of distress, and maybe one of them gets dragged under, before the battle starts
