Well first of all the process of greyscale to color is not my preferred method - I kind of knew this already, but as I transitioned into color with this piece I realized that it's definitely not the best way for me to work. Second, I have never painted bikes and rarely painted hard-surface objects in general, and I feel that I learned a lot about rendering hard materials and how I should go about it in the future. I also used gradient maps for the coloring which isn't something I've done often, so that was an interesting tool to experiment with and I feel more comfortable with it now.

I kind of notice it, too, as you render these bikes in greyscale from your stream -- their value does not look like something I have seen before. Well, wish I could tell what it is, but these bikes look even cooler especially that blue one!

Oh wow. Everything, from the scenery, both near and far, to the characters and their bikes, looks great. I'm particularly intrigued by the neat riding boots though. Very nicely done. :3

I love this picture, and the boots look great, but on a motorcycle you really want your toes protected! But it's a tiny detail in a magnificent picture full of them. Great job on the bikes too, getting them correctly proportioned to the characters is not easy.

Gradient maps and various layer modes, yes :3. I used solely gradient maps for the bikes because it gave them a very rich color that I couldn't achieve with layer modes.

Oh, that worked out, very well. Good depiction of the surfaces on the vehicles, and the general proportions and perspective on that. People tend to get wheels in perspective wrong, but not you. The Character poses also fit so well. Motorcycles are hard. XD.

I took industrial desigm in college, so Vehicles and Hard stuff is what I was taught. Anatomy and physiology came later, usually the reverse of most artists, as I moved to animation later. You dod well.

This looks just like a proper photo. The colors, the proportions and the perspective/depth are so visually satisfying (sorry to steal some of the ideas from the comments). Great details on textures, too. Oh wow, this really takes lots of skills! This piece is very very well made!

Ha, that is interesting to think about - in a world where horses aren't pulling carts would there still be such a thing as "horsepower"? I feel like in that world it would be a racist thing or an equality movement haha!
