Lately I've felt that my art has become too meticulous. This was an attempt to recapture some of the looseness of my old style. And also to demonstrate what to do when your power goes out and you live in a barn.

The blacks play really well in this picture! I think it's your dark feets that draw the eyes in (ironically)
But yeah, I really like this piece. The colors are quite attractive.

Loosening up definitely helped it feel more natural. That said there was nothing wrong with the way you were doing it before but it's good to switch things up now and then.
