With
foxamoore's announcement of his future release of the Keepers of the Light Extended CD Edition (scheduled for release Eurofurence 2016,) I got the go to release some of the artwork I have done for the project. And boy am I excited to finally show these! Let the hype begin, this album is going to be fantastic!
Here you may recognize the characters Riversong and Frostwind from the Pawpet show the album was made for, looking out over the expanse of land before the Holy Mountain, where the Keepers reside. Frostwind holds the necklace her father gave her, and for a moment in the dawn, the two look out at a world that is big and beautiful. The aesthetics of the mountain itself were directly inspired by KOTL works by Alector Fencer who illustrated for the Pawpet Show in 2014. I will have prints available of this at TFF, where I will be seated next to Fox Amoore. If you happen to buy one, and ask reeeaally nicely I bet we both might even sign it for you!

It's a mixture of paint and photo texture! I use a lot of photo reference in my work (because reference is sooo important) but also textures. This serves to simply cut down the amount of time I spend on something significantly. While I could sit and paint a detailed tree right down to the pine needle, which I've done before, its not necessary when there are PLENTY of free stock photos and my own photos to lend me a hand!
Usually I prefer to do more painting as opposed to texture work as it will have more of a "painterly" element to it. I didn't have enough time on this one, so I hope it doesn't appear overly saturated with textures.
