This was a track I wrote in 2006. This track started out as just a test to see if I had a good MIDI sync with my software/hardware plugins, and it turns out it synced fine so I decided to make a complete song out of it. =)

XD with all of that that must use allot of pc resourses. http://www.vintagesynth.com/kawai/kawaik1.php that is pretty sweet to have a classic. Hope you still have it.
Samplers are good if you can get your hands on some decent samples. Just recording things around home can create some crazy sounds with the right ajustments.
Ah yes Propeller Heads RB-338 yeah I know of it and Rewire is reasons way to sync a buch of programs at once. I know of it because SONAR 8 comes with rewire. (simular to audacity if you know of that)
I use alot of hardware. I personally own a real TB-303 and many of the drummachines too. Like my fav the TR-808.
I tested the TR-808 and the TB-303 against Propeller Heads RB-338 Rebirth and the sounds are a bit diffrent. For example the TR-808 in rebirth has higher pitched hats, the toms are a bit lower pitched the cowbell is surprisingly spot on O.o .. And so is the kick. The TB-303 in Rebirth seems brighter and its cutoff doesn't go as low as the real TB-303 the accents on a real TB is much more harsh. Other than that its a very very good program for any acid lover and I do like it alot. I use it to keep memory of my patterns of my real TB since I can save a bunch more patters that way, The biggest issue though I have is that the real TB has a timing mode. RB-338 doesn't Even more sad the Real TB can perform triplets !
:P You shouldn't let all that discourage you, you need to make more acid traks. because 'everyone needs a 303'

Dude you just made me sooooo jelly lol I would love to use a real 303 or 808 in person but sadly haven't had the chance yet, I'm sure it's tons of fun to mess with. As for ReBirth, some (but not all) of the drum sounds were samples from the original hardware, which might be why they sound just like the original. Later after some program updates they actually had the ability to load ".mod" files that changed some of the samples into custom things. Unfortunately I've been having some trouble trying to get it to run under Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, but I'll keep looking and see if I can find a fix. As for right now, I use the Audiorealism BassLine for all my acid needs, and will be uploading more of my stuff in the near future =) (Also, good song by FBS, I can actually recreate that 303 pattern perfectly :P)
The reason you probably are having troubles with Rebirth is because Rebirth requires WinHelp 32 to run. You can still get win help on vista, have to download a hotfix off the main microsoft site. For win 7 I am shure you can too. I hope..
Also the TB-303 is fun but also a head ache. I tried to perform for AC this year at the masquerade. And before I left home I sat there for hours programing my song into it XD IT WAS A HEADACHE. sadly all for naught as I wasn't picked for the show -.-.... Still its a load of fun and I haven't found one clone that can match the sound perfectly. In personal opinion the RB-338 is the only clone software that does a very good job. Its not spot on but gives it its own flavor.
I know that the RB-388 has it where you can make mods for it and change the sounds, drummachines mostly. Don't know about the TB-303's But I really want to know how to mod Rebirth because I will make a mod with all the actruall high quality samples from the real thing. XD
