"Hey, check this out!"
Before the rat--resigned to following the gigantic demon around the city, lest he receive another unpleasant surprise--could turn to see what his captor was talking about, the ground shook and threw him off his feet. As the rat tried to regain his balance, a familiar tail tip scooped him up and turned him to face an upside-down Hellfarch, standing on his hands.
"Pretty amazing, don't you think? That a creature of my size would be this agile?"
The mouse opened his mouth to retort, but Hellfarch then opened his mouth, wide.
"You remember that time I nearly ate you? Well, I've been thinking, and it really wasn't fair to you. So to make it up to you, let's see if I can do it without using my hands!"
He opened his mouth wider, and the rat panicked as he felt the tail bringing him closer to the demon's enormous maw.

Whew, it feels good to be making stuff with this guy again. I've been working on his rig for months, and a lot of it was the result of doing something, learning a better way to do it, and having to rework whole parts of it from the ground up because rigging is something where you really need to get into the habit of making sure everything is right before you continue onward. But the results speak for themselves, and he was a lot of fun to pose here.
This is also my first picture rendered in Furryball, rather than Renderman! Furryball is a GPU renderer, which goes IMMENSELY faster than Renderman. I haven't developed an eye for rendering quality, so I can't tell if my old renders were much better or not, but the fact that this took mere minutes to render out--as opposed to HOURS--makes me feel like it's probably completely and utterly worth it.
