I swore off writing fanfiction a long time ago, especially Pokemon fanfiction, which is just ridiculous. But I started playing Pokemon again and here I am with a story in my head about love, hate, loyalty, betrayal, and revolution, that can only exist in the Pokemon universe. I am ashamed.

I'm afraid I'm guilty. In my mind the original pokemon universe is just too happy-go-lucky to be worth writing about. But if it's twisted a bit into something of a different light, it sparks my imagination far more.
It'll probably end up being crap anwyay, but I guess we'll see.

I'm no big fan of pokemon myself, but if the setting could suit an idea of yours, then go ahead. I guess a story being pokemon "fanfic" kind of lowers its credibility, but that's why we're always told never to base ourselves on prejudice alone... it might just turn out to be damn impressive, after all.
Heh, I know... I've read some fanfiction (not pokemon but others) that were incredibly good, but at the end of the day it was still fanfiction so somewhere down in my heart I looked down on it. :-/ I expect my own credibility to fall a little bit, but I really just want to do it to have fun, and I'm trying to tell myself that's what matter. ^^;

I enjoy fan fiction when it adds to the realm, not simply states what someone would like to do with the same boring set of characters.
Also, I think a lot of us enjoy sharing in your fun-- I loved the description that went along with the next picture: this promises to be a worthwhile journey.
