(Forgot to unfade the back again. SHIT!)
Hey guys, time for another review, and I went for a recommended blend by Aaron.
Let's get to it!
Crowned Heads Jericho Hill:
Wrapper:San Andres Mexico
Binder:Nicaragua
Filler:Nicaragua
Pre-Light/Construction:
Haven't reviewed a box press in awhile, so I'm glad it came back for another one.
The dark brown color demanded respect in it's bold look. a rough but slightly oiled texture to it's feel it was an
interesting take when you hold it properly. Very visible seems, but slightly visible on the veins. The scent was vibrant in a pepper and cedary note. The band finally with the signature badge crest with pitch black bg made it look like it kept it simple and had no time for bullshit.
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puffs were loose and had a very good flow. Pepper pepper pepper! It was vibrant in pepper, but in a calm and more subtle way, like seasoning a bit of spice to your stew to give it a little kick. Real earthy notes came into play to give it more outdoor feel and taste. Something to be smoked outside to make it more complete. The rest of the way was pretty set in these 2 notes until a mystery sweet flavor came into play the first 3rd. The body is medium built.
The Burn Part 2:
The mystery sweet flavor was still making me wonder what it was. The earthy notes were becoming a little more vibrant while the pepper seemed to mellow out a little a bit but still made it's presence clear. The mystery sweet note was still puzzling me, but I wasn't complaining about the blend with the other 2. The body is still medium but building up a bit.
The Burn Final:
Pretty much the notes are still there. Not much has changed, but the sweet flavor is pretty much dominating this until it finishes the race itself. The earthy notes are 2nd and the pepper comes in last. With the last few puffs I gave it a proper burial in the ashtray with a salute.
Verdict:
Pleasant, easy going, and a real nice smoke for any occasion. Go outside, lounge on your lawn chair and burn the day away with this one. You see it, go for it.
