God my head! How long have I been out for? The last thing I remember was playing Pokemon Red and levelling up my Charizard fast through a Cheat Cartridge... My hands?! Orange Skin?! A Muzzle?! Oh no! I've been transformed into a Charizard!. I have wings?! My own tail??! I need to look at myself in the mirror!. I really am a Charizard for real!. My voice! I've lost the ability to speak!? What am I going to do?! I can't speak to anyone like this!. RAAAWWWRRR!!! My new voice sounds amazing!. This body.... my large belly.... those big reptilian feet.... This is really who I am now..... This feels amazing... So natural... Wait.. If I really am Charizard now, that must mean..... RAAAWWWWWRRRR!!! OH GOD! My house is on fire!! Well, being a Charizard now, I won't be needing to live here any more.....

Like Bowser, the leap motion hands were a tad fiddly/twitchy on this model due to the proportions. I bought a dynamic bone asset today off the unity store which applies nice looking physics to the tail and wings quickly and easily so you'll be seeing that a bit more often in the future. I initially tried making my own physics with Unitys own physics engine but for some reason, I kept getting physics penetration errors with the floors/walls causing the tail to get stuck and stretch beyond its limits :P
Burning the house down towards the end was soo much fun to film XD

Thanks. If there's one thing I'm hoping to implement in the future with these, it's live action Mocap along the lines of Sixenses Stem System assuming it ever makes it to the market.

Got it in the queue. ;) I had an extremely basic version of it up and running around a 10 months ago when I first started learning Unity3D/VR development although that was using the Brawl model which I'd want to upgrade to the Wii U model. Lucarios dreads should look nice with the Dynamic Bone asset. :)

I don't know if you are any good at doing four legged creatures, or even like to do 'em. And, I don't even know it this model would work for ya, but I would love to see this dragon http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil...../?id=107924427 in this. If you can't do it, or feel you need more skill to do quadruped creatures, I'll understand if you don't. Just, here's the model if you change your mind
Added to the queue. Four legged creatures are quite a long way off yet as I would need to see how I can use my existing "mecanim" script with Unitys "Generic" animation system. If the Generic system interacts with the Mecanim animation controllers in the same manner as the Humanoid system, then I just need to make custom animations (gulp) :P
For those of you that have an Oculus Rift, I have now uploaded the build that was used to make this. It's been updated to use the final Rift SDK and a download link can be found in the description. It'll work if you don't have a Leap Motion but a Leap Motion is required if you want to look down at your hands.
Just bare in mind that due to how large/proportioned the model is, the Leap Motion is prone to being a bit imprecise with it.

DFired got it working in Revive along with the Leap Motion support. You could talk to him to see if he can point you in the right direction.

Oh god .. i would love to experience that in VR... would be the closest i could get to being a dragon in "Reality" as it where LOL! ... i know Charizard is not "technically" a dragon in the games but come on! ... breathes fire ... wings ... reptilian in nature ... he is a dragon and has ALWAYS been my favorite Pokemon of all time .... Nice work!
Glad i'm not the only one who thought of Charizard as being a Dragon. I always thought of it as a Dragon ever since I layed eyes on it in the Gen 1 days. Feels like an eternity since I made this. Just a shame I couldn't update it to work with modern headsets really. The realism was amazing to the point where you could actually see your muzzle in your line of sight in a true to life way. Even when the Charizard follows your movements in the mirror, it provides a really powerful impression that the Charizard in the mirror is your body.
