I was granted permission to make this after the speak visual contest on DA.
I didn't have enough time to enter when i learned about it so i went ahead and made the model.
if you want a larger render please note me your screen size details and i'll freshly make it for you.
also please note that i created the model but NVidia holds all rights to its design and form so i cannot allow distribution of my model unless NVidia gives the ok.
Thanks for looking

An NVIDIA logo? I'll just have to counter that with an ATI logo...
I have a question. How do you get soft shadows like that? All the shadows on my renders come out hard and unconvincing. Also, the sphere in the BG, is that a texture?
Awesome render, by the way. I hope to get to your level soon.

the soft shadows can be done in 3ds max/Kerkythea/blender
Wings does support the soft shadow look but its incredibly hard to get to look right.
I used Wings3D for the modeling
but the rendering was done in Kerkythea
also note on the sphere
that was actually a special specular material
Anisotropic/Ashikhmin Rainbow Metal
rather cool material that takes the light it receives and turns it into rainbow colors on a surface
I'm now i nthe process of working with Mental Ray in 3DS max for other rendering possibilities
quite the nifty program
whips out a diffuse and naturally lit model in under 2 seconds

The processor is about 2.8Ghz, which is decent (it's a single core), but I only have 256MB of RAM, and no video card (no good one).
It takes the PC 20 minutes from the time I turn it on before I can actually click anything, because on startup, it's already taking around 285MB of mem.
NEED MORE RAM.

Thinking of buying a gig, but there are more problems. No job (equals no money), and the fact that I can't get on the computer much makes me all the more hesitant to buy it, but I do have a small weekly income, so I'll try to get one from ebay or something before the end of the month.
Hopefully, my own laptop will follow soon.
