Actually, the Gath balloon stem is not tied up; it's held shut by a ring of muscle under the skin of the belly (imagine blowing up a balloon and then pinching the stem with your fingers).
The idea that Gath are knotted shut is a common misconception. Maybe I need to draw a PSA to clear it up.

Yay, Rabid! Always makes my day to see something new from you. I really hope you enjoyed your vacation. Sorry to hear about the dental trouble, I've gone through something kind of similar so I really hope everything works out for you there.
Great to see your artwork is still excellent too. I'll admit the past couple of deer images really made me laugh. I'm commenting on this one though, because it's a unique character design and I do think you did a very good job with it. The posework and perspective are great at giving he body a sleek look that works with the inflation theme; it actually looks like a blown-up figure instead of just being big. Likewise with the foreshortening, even though the body changes size from one end of the image to another it still flows smoothly and looks natural despite the large volume difference. Another thing that plays well into the inflation is the distribution of mass-pushing down against the floor in the front of the figure and lifting up in the back implies a variation in density, just like what would happen in real life. Oh, before I forget, the balloon knot as a belley button is a really neat effect, you did a great job showing the depth there.
Particular parts of the figure I like: the features you excel at still look great, you do very stylistic hair and your unique style of shading still looks awesome. And for what it's worth you also do fantastic glasses. As for this character in particular, I think the ears work really well with the slim face. That's another look that shows up in a lot of your work and I think your experience with it has really paid off, because you make it look great. Also, I think this is one of the largest tails we've seen in your work (at least proportionately) and although it is tightly creased, which actually mimics the look of a partially inflated balloon and the like, I think the curves are very nice.
Now, since you still have the Critique icon on your user page, the one thing I think you could do to help with images like this is to use a different effect to show texture. What I mean is, for all the excellent details to this image I never really got the impression that I was looking at something balloony, like rubber or latex. I'm not exactly sure how you'd achieve that sort of effect in black and white pencil, but in works like the colored version of this image the latex look comes from the long highlight/shine effect along the curves. Again, I don't know how you'd do that in black and white pencils, but a similar kind of outline might have the same effect. Similarly, I do like your glasses but you could add a glass shine/refection (I actually couldn't find a handy reference quickly). The same thing goes for things like the windows you did here. I'd like to see you try to use different effects for different surfaces.
But none of that means your artwork isn't awesome. ^^ Really great to see it again I'm still definitely going to have to commission you sometime when you're open. If you do go in for dental work, I do hope it works out well for you, but please be cautious about doing it. Good luck with everything!

Dern fancy schools with them writin' boards!
Come to think of it, I have no idea how to show a white board reflecting light. I mean, it does, but not in the same way glass or mirrors do...
And I hope you didn't take the laughing comment the wrong way, I only meant the two images were both awesome and hilarious-especially when came to how the first one sets up the second. I saw the first one first and didn't even consider the possibility of a sequel, but it just fit so perfectly it was funny I couldn't think of it. Honestly, I really try to laugh a lot because I find it's a good way to show approval simply and without strings attached. For example, I could explain the other reasons why I like those couple of images so much, but that would be embarrassing.
Anyways, thanks a lot for the response! It's great to be back and to be able to see your work again. ^^
