Over a week ago, the "Zootopians" wall in "Facebook" presented the second 'drawing challenge', inviting its many 'friends' to submit an illustration of 'Nick Wilde' and/or 'Judy Hopps' in the following scenario: a scene on a train. The deadline was Sunday night at 7:00 PM...
I began to work on this project late in the week, and I was 90% finished with it (saving the nearly completed work), when the hard drive of my PC crashed! (Talk about heart-beating agony!) Luckily, I'd saved the original line art, and passed it along to
Funimal, who was kind enough to add the necessary colors and text to my entry in the 'drawing challenge'. And even though I was several days too late for the deadline, I still submitted it to the "Zootopians" wall. (Hopefully, it will get posted shortly.)
In the meantime, I thought I'd post the newer version of said 'train scene' here. (And if I can salvage the original version of the comic strip gag from the fried hard drive of my old PC, I'll be more than happy to post it here ASAP.)
The gag itself features 'Nick' entering a car of a Zootopian elevated subway train (modeled after one of the trains I used to ride, when I'd lived near New York City over 25 years ago). Unfortunately for the con artist fox, he was so engrossed in what was on his tablet, he ignored the message coming from the PA (Public Address) System, resulting in an inevitable consequence for him...
Original line art by Jed Martinez (a.k.a. RobCat)
Text and colors added by Juan Alfonso (a.k.a. Funimal)

P.S. The bobcat in the comic gag is not to be confused with my own 'bobcat fursona'.
