I wondered about that too. I mean his personality, in my opinion, is kinda "I have love for everyone". plus, in the fandom you can't just asume anymore that one character is straight.
but also I felt like this comic is too innocent or for all the family to portrait something like LGBT topics/characters. I was raised in the 90', so that topic was never part of kids shows.
and even if he's not gay, Tony is already liked by many male furries because he's a big cutie X//3
