Here I am, at home again.
~~
I have really wanted to start doing more cubby paintings and so when the idea struck, I decided to follow it through. I did struggle with this piece from start to finish and the simple reason is, whenever I leave my paints for a while, when I sit back down to work with them..I compleeetely forget my working process and have to botch my way through to figure it out again.
This will be in the FC art show
8x10" acrylic on watercolor paper.

I love how the detail and lighting in this is on par with top-quality wildlife art, and yet there's still that human light and expression in their eyes. That's the essence of anthro art for me. >^_^< Lovely piece. If I weren't in the middle of too many writing projects right now, this would certainly inspire something -- there's so much that seems to be going on here, emotionally, more so than just a typical mother and cub portrait.
