Part 5: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17635206/
Charizard, knowing he could do nothing to stop the titanic wolf from carrying Lucario away, simply watched as Lyle disappeared from view with the jackal in his palm. The dragon pokémon blew a spark of fire from his nostrils in frustration, and grumbled. "That wolf can't keep getting away with this..." he said to himself. "Something's got to give us a break sooner or later..."
Charizard looked behind himself suddenly- he could have sworn he heard a twig snap, or something, but nothing seemed to be moving anywhere. "Hmph", he said, walking to a small boulder nearby. Charizard lifted himself onto the top of the boulder with a flap of his wings, and sat on it. Suddenly, as he folded his tail around him, he felt the burning tip nudge against something unseen, accompanied by a quiet but audible hiss. Immediately, a black, and furry shape faded into existence next to him, revealing the form of the dark-type Zoroark.
"You..." Charizard said, firmly pushing the fox pokémon away from him with his powerful tail, sending Zoroark falling off the boulder and onto the ground several feet bellow, where he landed face-down.
"I wondered where you crept away to. You were hiding nearby the whole time, weren't you?" The dragon accused.
"No need to be so... pushy, you overgrown lizard", Zoroark complained. "But you know how I am", he grumbled, getting up off the ground.
"Unfortunately", the fire-type answered, watching Zoroark hop back up to his place on the boulder.
"I told you... I'll never show myself when that wolf comes around. I've had enough of those rediculous nomming sessions..." he told the dragon.
Charizard remained silent and gazed pointlessly at the town a short distance away, slowly moving his eyes across the town and up to the giant wall surrounding their enclosure.
"So, it seems he has found another pet to join our little... community," Zoroark said with a small grin.
Charizard grunted. "Lucario."
"Yes... that big furball... hmmmmm..." the fox trailed off. "A rare catch indeed."
"I don't want you messing with him, you hear?" Charizard told the dark-type, puffing a wisp of smoke.
"Now why would I do that?" Zoroark smiled deviously, before casually jumping down off the rock. "Well, whatever. I'll be going now, I have an escape plan to work on."
And with that, Zoroark vanished, and Charizard heard only a few footsteps before the fox vanished from his senses.
"A rare catch", Zoroark was right about that. Lucario was the rarest pokémon among Lyle's collection now, Charizard and Zoroark included. But perhaps "catching" wasn't the right word, after all Lyle's method of expanding his collection differed from pokémon trainers greatly, and of course he didn't just collect pokémon. It made Charizard recall how he came to be in Lyle's possession. The wolf, Charizard knew, did not play fair.
A small update for now, work on this one is coming too slow :s but I think more will be done soon.
