Just thought I'd do a small bit of promoting here on FA for a Children's book I've been Illustrating for someone the past year. I'm finishing up the last of the pictures and soon after it'll be going to print and getting published. :) For me it's a pretty big thing. Don't get me wrong, I'll be happy to not have to draw cartoony dodos anymore, but all in all it was a great experience and a lot of fun. The Writer and I will be showing the first prints at the East Coast Comic Expo.

The colored image was the first picture I made for the writer. Kinda a conceptual piece to see if they liked my style. As you may have noticed, the dodos changed in design after that, but other than that things have pretty much stayed the same. It's been a bit tough keeping the same style all year since my skills and style evolved in that time. but of course, to keep it all consistent, I kept my style in that era as much as possible.

These are just a few of the initial sketches I made for the pages, some of my more favorite ones. Thought I do have these all lined and colored, I will not post the final images until after the book is out.

Note: The title of the book still isn't completely decided upon, so that's why the different links have different names for the book. That part's kinda out of my hands, so I look forward to seeing what they decide on.
