After one too many protests to the higer authority, the headmistress decided to see Cain in a different light, after failing to be a commited maid, and reassigned him to the Butler Institute. Only little was known about this underground training facility beneath the Maid Academy, despite being under the same organization. Only a few selected ones will be assigned to Butler Institute through unknown criterias; in Cain's case, the report stated him to be "rebellious, headstrong, and a hell of a tsundere."

The Butler Institute has their own training programmes and a ranking system similar to the Maid Academy, lowest starting as a purple butler-in-training, with restraints and gears like the pink maid-in-training, to moniter their behaviours. Some are even required to wear pullups for working on the clock and to facilitate their dignity. As butlers progress, they will earn higher ranks till black, and also their pants. Butlers are also considered higher-ranked than maids, that's why there's only a few and rarely seen in the Maid Academy.

Even though this is not what Cain wanted and just wanted out altogether, being a purple butler-in-training is the least more dignifying than being a sissy pink maid-in-training. And maybe he worked hard enough, he may be able to get back at a certain liox maid who got him into this fine mess to begin with.
