EDIT: I haven't drawn these characters in eons but I still consider them "active," and I've made a few changes to them. Basically, they've both been demoted. Lazarus is not yet a priest, but a transitional deacon, still in training to be a priest. By the same token, Justina is not yet a psychologist but a psychology student. I find characters who are working TOWARDS something more interesting than characters who are already there. And frankly, they're easier to write.

I now picture Justina as a gulf coast Southern American (I previously saw her as more midwestern) and as a skeptic, NOT a member of Lazarus' church.

These are my characters Lazarus Law (striped skunk/spotted skunk hybrid) and Dr. Justina C. Wright (hairy tailed mole). He's a priest and she's a psychologist and a counselor. They're both in their thirties or so. She's a member of his church and they're pretty close friends.

They're both usually reserved, soft spoken people, but when they get together they like joking around with each other and just being their weird selves. They know things about each other that few (if any) other people know.
