Pretty much it, I just wanted to share this great photo of my betta, Mr Ares Fish. He's a dork, lives with a snail (Charmander) and five insane ghost shrimp.
That is all.

I have an all black one named Ninja. I keep him in a ten gallon, but he doesn't have any tank mates yet. He also only has one hiding place as of yet. But I recently purchased a little hammock to add to the some of that empty space.

It isn't anything that they are required to have, but I'd recommend it, as little is cuter than watching them lay about on it. ^-^

The plant on the right is real and when it was up higher he'd sleep on the big leaf. I'm going to wire it to the shipwreck at some point so that it stays up high for him. As it stands he likes to sleep at the bottom near the front, it's fun to come in and catch him dozing, it's even more fun when one of the shrimp pokes him accidentally because his immediate response is 'FUCK YOU!' and charge.

They do have attitude. ^-^ That's why mine lives by himself at the moment. I was nervous about what to put in with him. A snail or two definitely sounds safe, but I'm waiting for the brand new tank feel to wear off before I add a snail. Haha, it's true. I can't see the ghosties! But that's a beautiful fish, though. Props for the great looking tank!
I would suggest getting a bland colored snail, our first snail looked like mud (he died of ??? after a month) and now we have a bright orange one and Ares likes to practice flaring at him. I almost had to move the little guy to a separate tank to stop him from flaring all the time!
Hmm...That is interesting. I guess if their too vibrantly colored, the bettas think they're a threat. That's very cute, actually. Your fish needs anger management, lol. Thanks for the tip too. I had no idea they would react like that. ^-^ I'll get a nice brown one that will camouflage with the surroundings better.
