I used three exposures for this photo. And yes. Always a tripod with HDR. :) It's far too much work to align the photos up afterwards, and you don't want any blur unelss you're going for that effect.

I didn't take them. Had the people before me taken them, I'd have not had this photo. That is what I constantly remind myself. :) This was my last photo for the trip, and we needed to leave fairly quickly, so I didn't take the time to look at the film.

Thank you for the compliments, and the reference! HDR is something that seems to be slowly drifting into the more mainstream flow of photography. I like to believe I'm developing an 'eye' for HDR photos before they're taken. Some things just look great, and some don't. I prefer to use HDR more as a tool to offer more depth and highlight than push the levels to extreme surrealism. Although, that is my personal preference, and the surreal look that one can achieve from HDR is very much favored by many great photographers.
