Well...someone suggested a furry game.
Don't get me wrong i like the fandom..a lot. But there are instances where I can see from the outside perspective of, "what the hell?" so I entered into Dust: An Elysian Tale cautiously.
The first few moments bugged me a bit where it was a lot of anime tropes pushed into five minutes and the game still has that throughout but the gameplay and action make it fall by the wayside. As i played more of it though it seemed to change it's overall tone in the story and I have enjoyed it despite it's overly cheerful and bright color palette and typical anime characterizations in some aspects (mainly Fidget). I've yet to defeat the final boss as he's a bit of bastard so i haven't seen the ending yet.
So spoiler warning:
Dust is a guy with the innocence of a mourning teenager and ruthless assassin. So in the art i decided to play on that. Dust here is in my interpretation of a buddhist graveyard (as the game itself has backgrounds that are clearly influenced by Eastern architecture in a lot of regards) with Jin's grave, to the left with the symbol, and blood of Cassius' actions on his hands to give a sense of conflict within the self.
I think that is what draws me to a guy like Dust. Conflicted without really knowing why or how in a lot of ways represent the tough decisions made in life and what the past can tell us about the future we choose. I'm probably reading way too much into it all though.
I consider this general as the blood is merely metaphorical and no violence is actual being depicted.
Dust is copywrite to the guy(s) or gal(s) who made the fun-ass game.
