Well, I used two different cathedrals as a reference and combined them and added some own deko in it like the painting in the background or the big window artwork in the left.
I used it as a training for detailed backgrounds... might come in handy one day^^

And indeed one couldn´t ask for a better dungeon X)

I understand what do you mean. I also got a lot of complications with the little details of a building, especially the one I did for the snowy pic with that black gothic tower.

The results here looks prety amazing and the main decorations were beautiful! Wish I could see this in colors XD

Its no wonder you said that the background was going to be a lot of work. 0_0 Egad, that looks extremely detailed...and overly complicated. I can see myself fumbling over the smaller drawings within drawings easily and becoming very frustrated. XD Regardless, this is unfathomably detailed, I'm especially loving the detail you added to the mosaic to the right, as it still has very small drawings within it, that you can just barely make out. It must have been agonizing not to hit the lines of the frame while doing so and I find it commendable you have such pinpoint precision. Such atmosphere and you've used the spacing to give every viewer a good feel of how expansive this cathedral really is in comparison. Also, because of the shading and your point of center, its really like I'm just able to keep walking for awhile until I get to the back of this hall. This is beautiful Eternal, and I'm positive Ed shall be even more pleased now. ^^

Ed looks even more debonair than before, goodness, his dashingly good looks, and black feathers make this croc stunned at the sight of him. And now since I know how confident Ed is from his commentary before in the last scrap, I think he would have me wrapped around his finger (wing?) quite easily, much like yourself. X3 And again...those talons..those bird feet of his are teasing me, just laying right there in thier grandiouse splendor~

The background is a combination of two different churches i have looked up in the google pic search list and have used them as references

I must applaud you.
A beautiful picture, the characters set in an Anglican church,
the perspective drawn gives you view of the two of the four wings with exquisite detail.
And to think this was done by hand, simply awesome.
