Matthew just ran hoping this thing wouldn't catch him, but then he was walking around the corner. Matthew made a hard turn to the left and sprinted, he knew he couldn't let this guy get him. He's never seen what he does, but Lass and Brian has told him about the people he's hurt... and killed... Looking back the guy was gone again. Forgetting to look ahead again he hit the railing of a stairway and flipped over it.
On the ground he was groaning a bit, but as he was sitting up. There was The First, a dead-looking fox with fur as dark as Matthew's and scars everywhere. He stepped closer and closer Matthew, eye's burning despite glazed over. Matthew was afraid to try and get around him.
"Get away! Get away!" Lass screamed over and over "Don't let him get us!"
"Get to the up and run!" Brian shouted "Just jump up the wall you fell down!"
Matthew just couldn't help but back against the wall as he watched this thing get closer and closer. How could no one see this? Or even ask or do anything? Looking past The First only about one person was staring back, at Matthew. Then he realized The first had vanished... Why
"We're alive!" Lass cheered
"But why'd he let us go?" Brian asked "He had us and he always flees the scene without being found or known."
"I... I don't know." Matthew said, but then he realized that was out loud. before more people looked at him he got up and ran... "How'd no one even notice him?"
"Well, ye did fling yeself over some stairs." Lass said "He's gone though, relax. Go talk with Sera some more!"
"I don't know," Matthew said "He may be gone now... but he'll be back..."
