My gemsona Hematite. The top is their first form and the bottom is their regen/pro-earth form!
Lore: Hematites were created at the end of Homeworld’s occupation. Since the rebels were becoming too powerful, especially their leader Rose Quartz, Homeworld tried a last ditch effort to retaliate by creating a new gem that would be very agile and strong. They were specifically made to use a weapon known on Earth as a sica. These weapons were designed to maneuver their way around shields, and would be perfect for combat against the shield-weilding Rose Quartz. By the time the gem war on Earth happened, only a handful of Hematites had been created in one of the Kindergartens. All of them emerged just as the battle was happening, and as a result, many of them became overwhelmed in the action, and even shattered in combat. One Hematite, however, managed to escape harm and make it past their first day with the protection of one of the Celestites assigned to the Hematite’s Kindergarten. The two bonded quickly and watched each others backs as they made their escape together, laying low as much as possible so as to outlast the war as they carefully sought out Rose Quartz to complete their mission. Hematite’s Celestite managed to get corrupted while exerting itself, and by the time the two had realized the war was finally over, all of the other gems from Homeworld had already left and forgotten them. Now abandoned, the two wander together in search of Rose Quartz, hoping to complete their mission and get back to Homeworld together.
Eventually after violent confrontation and a rocky road to understanding Hematite would ultimately switch sides.
