A de-stressing doodle of my darling Mallory that I found I really needed to do today. @n@

I'll be honest, I've found myself slowly moving away from "anthro" designs and so on. Nothing against it, but I've recently been very interested in working on more humanoid faces and so on - I've left it alone so long, it bothers me to have not built much skill in that regard at all.

But even if some of my OCs will change, I can't imagine Mallory ever will.
She's most of my favourite things all wrapped up in one big, fluffy package.

Sadly, she's also a design people seem keen on ripping off.

Last night when I couldn't sleep I went through my own art and uh. Died inside at how bad it was.

Where the fuck were the expressions? The life? ThE HIPS?
WHY DID EVERYONE HAVE THE SAME FRICKIN BODY TYPE?


I don't know if I'll ever get better healthwise, but at least I've had a lot of time to think about art, my characters, and their proportions.

Mallory is supposed to be a little fat. And now I can draw her a little fat.
Fat ain't a bad word, man.

Whenever I can draw them again, Mallory will be her wonderful chubby self, Claudia will be muscular and bulky, Jen will have the thick thighs and rear she's supposed to, and Iris will be... just as gaunt and thin as she was before. Iris was actually supposed to be skinny.

Anyway, can't say if/when I'll colour this. I'd probably redo the wings first because I'm unhappy with them.
Things are rough recently, but I really do still love my ocs.
