He is an Abronia Greminea
or
a Mexican Alligator Lizard.
Ive had him for about 2 weeks now. He's perfection. But skittish perfection.
Im hoping to get a female this summer and breed them next year.
They are endangered in the wild due to deforestation and their unique habitat requirements mean they have not adapted well.
If you want to see more real time photos of my animal kingdom follow me over on twitter wanderthedragon
I also do quick cheapie sketch deals there. But mainly. I post ALOT of animal photos.

They are not endemic to very many places in the world, mainly south and central america! They also are actually fairly small. This guy is an adult at 3 years old and is about a foot and a half nose to tail tip, most of that being their super cool prehensile tail. Really adore these guys <3
Im glad to have shared him with you!

Ive studied up plenty! Im not in it for profit. I would really only want to do it once or so. You can make these guys skip their breeding cycle by keeping temperatures level and consistant. These guys are inherently tricky to breed. But Im hopeful eventually I will be able to produce a litter.
Aww, this is also a good read also with houseing!
