"....I will ALWAYS...love you."
So I managed to snag this masterpiece off of RubyofBlue on DeviantArt portraying mine and
's characters in our Os-Nadarra/Team Valiant crossover story we've been working on for quite some time.
At some point in the story, Luke begins to develop feelings for Volcan, but is hesitant to profess them to him due to the fact Volcan isn't from his dimension, and will have to return once the threat of Kalo'Temir is taken care of. In the end though, Luke finally does come forward and confesses his love for the Phoenix in Blaziken form, to which Volcan reminds Luke that this sort of relationship will not last, but ultimately accepts Luke's love and becomes his mate, as Volcan too seemed to harbour strong feelings of love and affection for Luke due to his personality and strong sense of justice.
Truth be told, the idea of them in an intimate relationship was spurred on by RubyofBlue's web series Pokemon: Manifest Heart, where two of the main protagonists. Shade and Shredder, are also romantically involved with one another. I highly recommend you all go watch that series. It's PRETTY damn good so far!
