Sirio was originally a man, but his wife, a witch, transformed him 20 years earlier in this monster because she believed he cheated on her with another woman, another witch.
Since he had never betrayed her, he passed the first 10 years trying to find a way to show to his wife that he is not guilty, but she never believed him. So since then he simply wanders the woods singing melancholic songs and telling his story to whoever he encounters.
He became one of the kindest creature you can encounter in the woods, but if you try to insult his wife he will become your worst nightmare.
