Another new gunpla I ordered online: the infamous Zaku II.
The MS-06 Zaku II was the Principality of Zeon's mainstream mobile suit during the One Year War, and a successor to the MS-05 Zaku I. It's weaponry is it's trademark machine gun, a bazooka, a heat hawk, and a three-tube missile pod for it's legs. The Zaku would later be outclassed by more stronger mobile suits, like the Gouf, Dom, & Gelgoog, yet the Zaku's frame itself would be used for various improved versions, such as High Mobility Types, Marine Types, Artillery Types, and others. The Zaku II is also said to be a Mobile Suit that is easy to operate.
The design for this Zaku II is shared with a few variants.
-The C-Type is a standard Zaku used early in the One Year War equipped with Radiation Shielding prior to the Antarctic Treaty.
-The F-Type is the most common Zaku used in the One Year War, and a lighter, upgraded version of the C-Type without the Radiation Shielding. Over 3,000 units were produced.
-The J-type is a Zaku that was built as a ground-type MS for operations on Earth.
-The S-type is the Commander's variant that is equipped with a antenna-like horn on it's head, and is used by MS squad leaders, and ace pilots.
