What's this? More ponies? =p
An idea I had of a small sequential story of everyone's favourite pony nerd casting a questionable spell on herself and getting very fat by the end of it, we'll see how many chapters I can wring out of it ;p
EDIT: Had to use Wordpad for it as for some reason notepad refused to work properly, I don't know why ewe;
Twilight sighed to herself as she sat, alone, in her treehouse library home. Hours upon hours of reading through magic spell books in her study was not going well. She wanted to find some sort of new spell, purely out of an urge to satisfy her own innate curiosity over magic, and to add net another spell to her repertoire. But alas, the day had been long and fruitless so far, and the lilac pony groaned dejectedly as she shut the latest book she’d been hoofing through, blowing out an annoyed snort to emphasise her annoyance.
“Ugh… this day’s been so boring!” she complained to herself. “Not a single new spell in any of these books, not even simple ones!” she sighed, “how will I ever improve myself if I can’t find something new…?”
Twilight got up, removing herself from the comfort of her chair, and began to trot aimlessly through the library. Shelves sprawled out along every wall, each one filled with assorted tomes dealing with every sort of subject imaginable, from the mundane the supernatural. And Twilight was sure that she’d read every single one there was! Staying up at night due to insomnia and killing time by burning through each volume was an impromptu hobby of hers. She walked into the furthest recesses of the shelves, where dust and cobwebs ruled supreme and where Spike dared not tread with feather dusty for fear of being jumped by an oversized spider. Surely, surely something here would be found…?
“Hmmm…no, no, no…” Twilight mumbled to herself as she used her magic to pull out book after book. “Read it...read it...read it several times...oh!”
She paused, a musty old green book caught her eye; emblazoned with gold writing upon its cover, the brightly coloured words read: Metabolic Magics: The Art of Weight Changing and Appetite Manipulation. There was book purely for this? She had to remember to do more research into it at some point, but for now…
“This is something I’ve not read before, I wonder if I could try out some of the spells…?” she mused to herself. “Hmm…”
Twilight took the book with her and went to her bedroom, she looked at herself in the mirror: While the purple furred, violet eyed unicorn mare with a mane and tail of purple with a pink stripe wasn’t really fat, she was definitely admittedly a little chubby: A small belly puffed out below her, the result of living off of easily made and cheap food and Pinkie Pie’s constant sugary treats, her butt also jutted out a little, giving her an ever so slight bounce to her trot. She didn’t mind at all, she didn’t pay much attention to her appearance beyond basic hygeine care anyhow.
She weighed it up in her mind; should she use herself as a guinea pig? The others might not like the idea of being zapped with potentially body altering magic, and she didn’t feel like really bothering them about it.
“Why the hay not, I’m sure there’s a reversal spell in here somewhere!” she said, smiling to herself.
Twilight flipped open the book, the very first few pages showed how to perform a basic spell to boost the target’s appetite, as well as ensure whatever they eat is processed into fat. Again, she wondered why on Equestria somepony thought of these spells, but then she wasn’t one to judge.
Before she could cast however, Spike, her dragon companion and assistant, came into the room while yawning.
“Mornin’ Twilight, had any look with the spells?” he asked, rubbing sleep from his eyes.
“Actually yes Spike! I found an old book I haven’t read before with rather odd but exciting looking magic in it!” the unicorn beamed. “And I’ve decided to test it out on myself!”
“On, yourself? What is it exactly?” the dragon inquired while picking up the book himself. His eyes went slightly wider as he read the contents. Weight gain magic? The idea of it both amused and worried him, how big could the spells make somepony? “Are you sure about this Twilight?”
“Absolutely Spike, now, I want you to go and make me some breakfast while I try this out…” she warmly shooed the small dragon out of her room and begun concentrating. Closing her eyes, her horn glowed a soft pinkish purple and an aura of the same colour began to engulf her, spreading this magic’s power through her body. After a few seconds it was over, and she opened her eyes again.
“Did it work…?” she asked herself.
A sudden peal of hunger rumbled from her gut, and Twilight felt extremely ravenous! She giggled as she reallized that the spell had indeed worked! She rushed out and down to the kitchen to inform Spike of it working.
“Spike! It works!” she grinned, another growl escaping her belly “I hope the breakfast is done soon, its really strong.”
Spike nodded and made sure to make the breakfast big, a full on platter of eggs, hay bacon and vegetarian sausages, and a few slices of toast, all drowned in ketchup and butter. Twilight drooled at the sight and smell, her impatient stomach grumbling in anticipation. By the time it was done, she practically snatched the plate from Spike and wolfed it down. The taste! Every morsel felt better than it ever had every other time she’d eaten it! Its as if the spell had the added effect of making food even more delicious than usual, too.
After finishing and licking her plate, she burped cutely and set the empty dish down. She licked her muzzle and realized that despite having eaten a whole full Equestrian breakfast, she wasn’t entirely full…
“Hey, Spike? I hate to sound greedy but, could you make me something else? I’m still kinda hungry…” she smiled sheepishly, rubbing her pudgy gut with her hoof.
Spike agreed, but internally he wondered how this was going to go.
Hours passed since Twilight’s breakfasts, in the end she’d eaten two entire plates of food, and felt quite rightly stuffed; her stomach bulged out below her more so than usual, gurgling and sloshing quietly as she walked, a burp periodically escaping her mouth due to the churnings of her glut. Ponies who passed by her closely enough noticed the distention, but were too polite to point it out. For now, Twilight was content to wander, wanting to walk off the ache from overdoing it before digestion set in.
“Hiiii Twilight~!” a sing-songy voice cooed from behind her, startling the stuffed mare enough to make her jump, her belly blooping in protest at the sudden movement. It was Pinkie Pie, naturally.
“H-hey Pinkie, you startled-” she paused to burp, easing her now unhappily bubbling stomach “-me”!”
“Ohhhh, sorry about that Twilight! I saw you walking along while I was skipping about and I thought ‘hey there’s Twilight so I better go and say hello!’ and I got so excited I didn’t think to just say hi normally and-oh my gosh look at your tummy!” the hyperactive mare giggled, cutting her own rambling off as she eyed Twilight’s midsection.
“Oh, this? I ate a big breakfast...or two.” she admitted with a chuckle.
“Wow! Two whole breakfasts?! I didn’t know you were a fan of the brunch thing Twilight, I do that too, I always have a pre-breakfast and then a breakfast and then a post-breakfast snack and then I flop over and can’t move until my tummy’s stopped being all balloon like and-” Twilight silenced her with a hoof to her snout.”
“I get it Pinkie, I get it!” she giggled.
“But, why, Twilight?” the bubblegum pink, cotton candy maned earth pony mare wondered, cocking her head to the side.
Twilight explained the spell experiment to her, and Pinkie’s eyes lit up like a firework display, she practically danced around like a loon before settling again, still vibrating with glee.
“If you wanna get a lot of food Twilight you know I work at Sugarcube Corner right?! I can get you all the treats you want! Cupcakes, muffins, candy, pies, though Applejack’s family make much better pies, you name it!”
Twilight smiled, Pinkie was a glutton herself, and even though she was the most physically active and madcap of the six friends, she was also the heftiest; a rotund belly hung down enough to be prominent, and her flanks were padded out with enough fat to give her a comical bounce upon movement Pinkie regarded her weight with a fondness, figuring that she was super cuddly and therefore gave super cuddles, and nobody denied it or minded it at all, Pinkie was Pinkie.
Twilight didn’t even get the second syllable of okay out before Pinkie dragged her by the hoof into the bakery she worked at and called home and sat her at a table, before zooming into the kitchen while a calamitous din of pans and cutlery rattling and crashing echoed out of it. She poked her head out a few times to simply nod at her friend before going back inside, and before long the smell of baked goods wafted out, enticing Twilight and making her bloated stomach gurgle in both mild protest and not so mild hunger.
“Annnnd done~!” Pinkie chirped, running out of the kitchen with a giant platter clamped somehow in her teeth, setting it down on Twi’s table and showing off a spread of delicacies.
Cupcakes, muffins, chocolates, there was a good selection for her to pick from, and her stomach’s gnawing demands made her start cramming whatever she could reach into her maw, loudly smacking her lips and ‘mmm’ing between bites. Pinkie just complimented herself for her baking skills and watched Twilight eat.
“So good…” she sighed, as her stomach gurgled, bulging out more as more was packed into it.
10 minutes of gluttony passed, and Twilight was finally finished. She burped loudly and leaned back in her chair, hooves resting atop a stomach jutting out like a soccer ball. It grumbled and churned loudly, and was taut to the touch. Pinkie give it a slight, curious poke which earned her a loud burp in her face, blowing her hair back a bit.
“Someone’s full~” she giggled, rubbing the distension this time, which Twilight enjoyed. “When do ya think the fatty part of the spell’ll kick in?”
“Mmf...didn’t think of that, maybe when I sleep? I might take a nap to help all this,” a pause for a belch, “settle…” the unicorn mumbled sleepily, eyes half closed.
Pinkie nodded and helped her to her feet, escorting the bloated mare home, her stomach jutted out enough to make one or two passing ponies make quiet remarks of pregnancy, which Pinkie shot down with rather unflattering responses of Twilight being greedy, but she was too tired out to really raise a complaint. They finally reached home, and Twilight waddled inside, waving to Pinkie before heading for her bed. Spike saw her go by and dropped the broom he was sweeping up with.
“T-Twi?!” he gasped, “how much did you eat today?!”
“Enough...going for a nap Spike, lets see if this -uuurrrrrp- spell works when I sleep!” she responded with a lazy smile.
Sike went back to his duties, and Twilight dragged herself into bed, lying on her side and hoofing at her swollen stomach, gliding a hoof across its taut surface. It was too solid to squish in when pressed, and rubbing across it felt quite nice, making it bubble and gurgle and cause her to burp more, relieving some pressure. But, sleep called to her, and she felt herself drifting off into a blissful, dreamless snooze.
