Yeah basically. See, I pay $13 a month for Final Fantasy 14, which gives me access to hundreds of hours of content, all high-quality character models, with customizable armor to the point I could wear a swimsuit when it's really plate mail. When I compare the amount of enjoyment and content I get from something like that to $10 per illustration, which is hard to judge the per-month-cost of, I feel like it's very overpriced. I'd be happy to pay 2-3 dollars just for this one picture because that's about what one picture should be worth per-person. The artist can still make about as much as a commission if most people who watch them want to buy it, with the potential to make far more. Part of my problem is not knowing how Patreon works exactly for things like this, and thus not being able to calculate the real cost. The other is, it's just one picture I'd like to see, and I don't see how that's worth $10 when I'd get far more enjoyment out of FF14 in a month for almost the same price.

TLDR: It's not worth to me, so I complain.
