Even this pitiful excuse for a sketch took me in the region of two hours :/

I had a gazillion bateleur references and videos and originally had much more awesome ideas in mind that involved flying and an aerial view of a savannah.

And then my brain farted and I got this.

Whoot.

Will probably try to remember to scan at various stages.

Hoping to sell this when it's done, if anyone's interested.
