The Lycro Rune represents the element most frequently associated with lightning, but more precicely, it describes energy. Lycro can be associated with static, discharges, inspiration, and suddenness. It is a very erratic element, and one brimming with power.
The Lycro Rune consists of short and straight lines that turn at angles at several intervals. The angles 120°, 90°, 60° and 30° can be found inside this rune. It is almost, but not quite symmetrical, with the central having a rotational symmetry of 180°, while the outer part has a rotational symetry of 120°, as well as 3 axes of symmetry.
Lycro is not one of the safest elements to wield due to its erratic nature, and Iserialogists using this element have to get used to the occasional backlash. Once properly attuned to Lycro, however, most Iserialogists don't mind the backlashes anymore, but rather describe them as an exhilerating part of the experience.
Some Iserialogists instead prefer to use Lycro in conjunction with the resonating element of Reyra, which generates a steady and predicatable stream of energy instead. However doing so requires a certain degree of mastery over both elements, and is thus often not a viable option for less experienced Iserialogists.
