SpaceBowser@Tumblr took part in the Helpful Macro project with this break-out (or is it break-in?) wonder. Featured in the foreground there is dooskerroo, whose birthday just happened to coincide (nearly) with the start of this project, so I included him as a small gift. Happy Birthday, dooskerroo! (I think he's in another one of these HMP pics as well, so see if you can find waldo ;))
The entry in question merely said "building a building". SpaceBowser put together a few thumbnails to approach this idea, and I opted for this one because it's a pretty unique perspective among my many macro-art pieces. And it reminded me of a 'nightmare' I had as a kid, of a giant monster reaching through the window of my house to pluck me out. ;) I left the decision open enough for him to voice his preference, but I think we both gravitated to this option, and it paid off I think. ^_^
SpaceBowser stretched his artistic muscles for this piece, having never drawn anything like it before. This was his first "macro" piece, and possibly the first involving so much perspective work. One of the things I love to hear from artists is that they've broken some ground and learned something with a commission of mine. This was one of those. :)
I could definitely see Rooth being quite helpful at transferring materials from the surface to the uppermost floors of a skyscraper building. Cranes are so slow and cautious. I'm sure Rooth would be careful, as well (I'm sure those 3 beams are secured together!), but certainly much faster and more efficient than some clumsy crane. And as the building grows, so will Rooth. ;)

The Helpful Macro project is, in a way, a tribute to Zootopia, but also a way to inspire fans, artists, and commissioners alike to envision worlds where sentient beings of radically varying sizes not only coexist, but cooperate. Macro works may often involve crushing/eating/destroying, and while that's great fun for many a macro fan, there's much more to be found in the theme than that.
This project aims to put the spotlight on alternate aspects of macro, because that is what I find most fascinating about macro art -- it inspires people to contemplate alternate perspectives beyond their own, not just artistically, but philosophically as well. That's something we all would do well to practice more often.
To celebrate the spirit of this project and the overlap with Zootopia's themes, I will be posting at least one completed commission from this project per day leading up to Zootopia's release on March 4th 2016. Keep your eyes open, and look out: macros about!
Most of my macro submissions have been friendly, non-destructive, and often helpful. I invite you to browse them, discover new artists to follow, and perhaps even commission them for some helpful macro ideas of your own. :)

Love seeing stuff like this. I pretty much only browse the macro/micro section on this site, and I understand that many like the concept because of the whole power/domination angle, but I was always more interested in seeing macros and micros interacting with each other. Especially concepts like this where they take advantage of their larger or smaller size to do things that would be harder if not impossible for someone smaller/larger. Great to see some people using the concept of a macro taking advantage of their size for something other than using thier body as a living wrecking ball of doom.
I am guessing then you saw the "have a doughnut" trailer if you are mentioning this concept in Zootopia.

I'm also for the concept of Helpful macros. We could be much help for the community, but we all get a bad rep, because we're pictured as destructive types!
Sure... we just need a few more meals and our wardrobe and various other needs might not be easy to account for... but... we're not bad people!

Love the idea of the Helpful Macro Project! FA could definitely use some more of them~! :D
I 100% support this concept!
To be honest, I expected the "worst" from the furry fandom with Zootopia. Glad I haven't encountered any of those pictures yet. But seeing Zootopia as, somewhat, the basis of this project makes me really really happy (now I can watch the movie with clear conscience)! XP
Can't wait to see the rest of it~! :D

Awww, that's awesome! I'm glad I'm doing my very tiny little bit to help improve the movie experience. :) At least, I hope it does. I mean, what if I set up expectations and it ends up being terrible. @_@; Well, come back and tell me what you thought of it once you see it in a couple of weeks. :)
