Drake awakes and finds himself laying on a large bed, he groggily looks around and sees that he is in barak's chambers, he groans as he tries to get up rubbing his forehead.

"Ah I see you have finally awaken."

Drake turns to the sound of the voice he sees denarius leaning in the door way with a smirk on his
face, as he looks down the hallway. "He's awake now". Drake's confused as to who denarius is talking to, he soon found out as the advisor and the old water dragon who he saw at the harbour house, but the water dragon looked, different he was wearing some sort of royal clothing with a green robe around himself, and wearing a gold circlet crown on his head.

"I see that you are doing alright now prince drake, you have been out of it for quite some time your highness" the advisor replied with a bow.

"Quite some time?......wait, how long have I been out and who the heck are you two?" drake asked.
The advisor stood up from his bow and introduced himself as Banarbus, and the water dragon as the newly appointed governor Gaius, they explained that drake had been out of it for four days, drake was shocked learning of all this, but soon snapped himself out it as he realised something, he quickly asked about luna, they both assured him that she was alright, a little traumatized but alright, drake gave off a sigh of relief, Banarbus and Gaius soon relayed news to drake that drake wasn't prepared for.

"Drake the world is at the brink of war with the fire nation if we don't do something soon" banarbus finished
Drake just laid there with a sad, shocked expression on his face, he hadn't realised that his home nation was waging war all over the world.

" But there might be hope, you as the rightful heir to the throne, you could prevent allthis before it ever happens, please drake we need your help" Gaius finished.

Drake just laid there trying to think what to do, should he continue his journey as the dragon master or fight in a war that he knows nothing about, he just laid there a while looking out the window for a while until he came to a conclusion.

" I can't fight this battle just yet . I still haven't mastered all the elements yet."

Gaius, banarbus and denarius all gave off a sigh of disappointment.

Drake gave off a sigh of his own while rubbing the back of his neck and decided to give in.

"But I promise you this once I have mastered them all, I'll stop this war before it starts."

Gaius, banarbus and denarius heads snapped up and each gave a sigh of relief as they got the answer they were hoping for.

"Thank you for helping us out drake, we'll help you out with your training in any way we can, and in return we hope for your aid in this war" Gaius replied.

"You and luna will come with me on my ship as we make way to the water nation islands to announce you involvement in this fight, we leave tomorrow afternoon" denarius replied.

As they left drake laid back and pondered on what they said.

" I sure hope I'm doing the right thing" he wondered to himself as he fell asleep again.
The next morning drake wakes up and gets his things in gear, he steps out into the hallway and is greeted by two guards.

They were assigned by Gaius to led him and luna to the docks where denarius ship was, sure they could fly but they couldn't get far flying over the ocean to where they needed to go.
He heard a door opening to his left and saw luna step out, he couldn't help but smile while giving a sigh of relief knowing that she was okay, but when she caught drake in her sights she suddenly looked away from him with a slight scowl of disappointment, drake was confused as to why luna would look away at him like that.

Soon they were being led to the front doors of the palace while luna still refused to make eye contact with drake who was still trying to figure out why.

The guards opened the doors and the four were greeted by cheers by the people and surprisingly a few guards yelling and cheering his name, drake asks one of the guards who were leading him why are all these people cheering for him.

The guard responded since he killed barak who was only governor over their city for a short period of time he was notorious in his ways, almost driving the people poor with his taxes, having females mate with him, starving them, placing them in the dungeons or executing them for no reason, they're just happy that they don't have to deal with his bullshit any more.

All that talking with the guard really must've surprised drake as they finally at the docks and drake gazed upon the ship before him in awe, it was a big ship, slightly smaller than the ones he saw a few days ago, denarius' crew was made up of mostly water dragons with a few air dragons thrown into the mix, the hull and the deck of the ship was metal with smoke stacks, it ran on coal, but when coal was in short supply it had huge sails to go along with it, the gangplank was lowered so that drake and luna could come aboard.

Luna came onto aboard first, drake was about to board when he stopped and turn to the crowd as they were cheering, he raised a hand to quiet them down, soon after a little while the dragons calmed down as drake began to speak.

" I don't know if you believe me to be who I really am, the lost heir to the fire nation throne or the dragon master, but I will tell you this.......I will free all the other nations from the fire nation's grip and I will restore honor to the fire nation throne (drake pumps his fist in the air) for you and all of dragonia, I WILL NOT FAIL!!!!"

The crowd cheered even louder as drake boarded and they started to leave the port.

The voyage had been going for a few hours as the sun was almost set, drake was standing with denarius in the bridge of the ship as denarius was at the helm.

"What's our destination?"

"The water dragon islands, we need to go there to confirm you involvement in the fight, pick up a few supplies and to help train you in the ways of the water element."

Drake looks at denarius after he said this to which denarius replies with a smirk " I always keep my promises drake."

"Thanks denarius" drake said with a yawn.

"I think I'll head in for night for the night" as he proceed to his own private quarters.
It had only been three hours after the sunset and drake was having trouble sleeping, so he decided to head up on the deck to get some fresh air, he was looking out of the portholes he was passing buy and saw it was a beautiful starry night with the moon full, he was just about to turn a corner to get to the top deck when he suddenly stepped backed, he peeked and saw luna leaning forward against the railing looking at the stars.

Drake took a deep breath and walked to where luna was, luna glances at drake and resumes watching the night sky.
Drake leans back against the railing.

"Hey" he said.

"Hey" luna replied back with a sad tone.

They just stood there in silence as they observed the night sky for a few moments until drake decided to break the silence.

"Are you okay?" drake asked.

"Yes drake I'm fine" luna replied with a hint of frustration in her voice.

"You don't sound fine to me, what's wrong?" drake asked with concern.

"Nothing is wrong drake, leave me alone." luna replied.

Drake leaned away from the railing as he stood facing her.

"Luna I'm trying to understand why you're angry, you and I haven't spoken to one another since leaving Drawl, I want to help you out ......." drake said but was stopped by luna hugging him tightly, with her head on his chest not wanting to let go with tears streaming down her face.

"You dumb firespitter....(sobs)....I not mad, I'm just so afraid....(sobs) I was so scared after you got thrown into the dungeon, barak trying to mount me, him almost killing you in the duel, you not waking up for the past few days, I thought I lost someone I truly cared about, not just cared but....but...." luna tried to hold back but couldn't as tears started to stream more frequent.
Drake was taken aback by all of this, he soon returned the hug as he hugged with one hand and started stroking her back with the other hand in an attempt to calm her down.

Then he remembered a method his mother and alyssa would use to calm him down if he ever got scared.

So he started to sing softly......

"Come stop your crying
It will be alright
Just take my hand
hold it tight
I will protect you from all around you
I will be here don't you cry"

Luna hearing drake's voice looks up to him while choking a bit on tears and sees a comforting look on his face while drake brings up his other hand and gently strokes the side of her cheek with it.

"For one so small,
You seem so strong
My arms will hold you,
Keep you safe and warm

This bond between us can't be broken
I will be here
Don't you cry"
Luna felt her heart skip a beat as she is mesmerised by drake's singing as she feels calmed down with less tears stream from her eyes, she sniffles a bit while trying to crack a smile.

"Cause you'll be here in my heart
Yes, you'll be here in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You'll be here in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here
In my heart
Always"

And with that he finished singing as he resumed stroking her back, all the while luna rested her head on drake's chest while hugging him gently.

"Thank you drake I really needed that."

"You're welcome luna."

Luna murred a little as she never wanted this moment to end.

A slight but cool ocean breeze came upon them which gave luna a bit of a chill to which drake offered "would you like me to escort you back to your room?"

"Actually drake I was wondering if I could....."luna said with hesitation in her voice.

"What?" drake asked curiously with a raised ridge.

"I was wondering if I could sleep with you in your room" she replied with a blush on her face.

Drake's eyes went wide and broke into a blush himself even though you couldn't see it within his red scales as he stuttered to reply to luna's request.

"I.....um......uhh......I would like that luna" he finished while shaking himself out of his bewilderment.

Luna giggles a little while hugging him tighter as she took drake's hand as she escorted them both to drake's room, she opened the door and both got in while drake closed the door behind them, luna still holding drake's hand walked over to bed and pulled the covers up so she could enter with drake following her, with both of them in bed and the covers pulled up luna rested her head and hand on drake's chest while drake has his arm behind his head while resting on a pillow while his other arm is wrapped around her back drawing her close.

As they cuddled a little before drifting off to sleep, drake with a kiss to the top of her head said as she off gave off a yawn and soon fell asleep, drake chuckled and with a yawn drifted off to dream land, as they laid together liked that without each other's knowing they entwined their tails together.

(Meanwhile in the fire nation capital of Maridia in the royal castle throne room)

A shadow dragon appeared in the middle of the throne room through a dark portal, he bowed before a black and red dragon who was sitting on the throne.

"Desaius what do you have to report?" the dragon spoke with a deep rumbling voice.

"My lord it seems barak has been defeated by the dragon master, drake blood night and his companions have taken control of the port city of Drawl."

"And?"

" Drake and his new found companions have already headed to the water dragon islands, it seems they intend to train him in the water element."

The black and red dragon sat there in thought for a while until he came to a conclusion.

"Desaius I want you to head over to the water dragon islands to try and end drake's life."

Desaius replied with an evil smile "Yes lord Valeron, By the way how is your new vessel coming along?"

The evil Valeron replied "He is coming along just fine."

We head into the lower depth of the castle into a ritual room and lying there on a sacrificial stone table was the body of Renji.

I decided to add a bit of the song You'll be in my heart from Phil Collins because the song really calms me down whenever I listen to it, and also I have been working a way to get it into the story, I gain absolutely nothing from the song or the lyrics they belong to their respective owners.

Also I'm taking a break form tales of dragonia to work on something new, this doesn't mean I'm quitting the series though.
